MCG 3210i Intelligent Field Interface Card Rack

Standard Configuration
The MCG 3210i Intelligent Field Interface Card Rack is a powerful, flexible interface that allows L&J engineering host systems to communicate with field devices communicating L&J Tankway communication protocol, regulates the device power, signal, and voltage levels. Moreover, since each field wiring branch can be isolated using the MCG 3210i, a complete cable failure in one branch will not affect the remaining branches.

The MCG 3210i will also protect control room equipment from receiving misapplied power due to improper field wiring. The control room equipment is also protected against transient voltages from the field because of built-in surge suppression circuitry.

The MCG 3210i provides a 4-wire data highway for each field. Each FIC board has the capability of providing power and communication for up to 128 field devices (gauges, transmitters, RTU’s etc).

Intelligent Configuration
Other intelligent options allow the MCG 3210i Series to provide power and communication to L&J field devices, and an RS-232 port for communication with L&J host system.

Intelligent Field Interface Card (IFIC)
The Intelligent Field Interface Card is a seamless upgrade to the existing FIC’s currently installed in the L&J Field Interface Racks, with the benefit of communicating critical field data to the MCG 3900 Gauging System.
