The Model 31440 Analog Electric Level Transmitter is an electric
signal source which provides remote indications of product
level in a storage tank. The transmitter generates an output DC
current signal proportional to the angle of rotation of the input
shaft. When this shaft is turned by the increments wheel of a
level gauge, this DC current output is a direct indication of
product level.
The transmitter has a potentiometer that measures level.
Screw terminals on the P.C. Board are used to connect the
field wiring to the transmitter.
The Model 31440 Transmitter is built to explosion-proof standards
for Class I, Group B,C and D, Class II, Groups E,F
and G, Division 1, and Class III indoor and outdoor hazardous
locations. The Transmitter is also suitable for indoor/outdoor locations.
Refer to Table I for transmitter specifications.
