MCG 2100 Field Calibrator
When in the computer mode, the MCG 2100 is able to communicate with any of the L&J MCG Series
Gauges. The calibrator is equipped with the ability to display the level, temperature reading and the discrete
input status being sent back from the transmitter. This enables the operator to check the conditions of the
field wiring and proper operation of the control room (i.e. L&J MCG 3000 series computers). In the troubleshooting
mode, different types of faults are displayed on the LCD.
MCG 2140 “Super Smart” Display
Even older units without the capability of a local LCD readout can benefit from the MCG 2140 “SuperSmart”
display. This self-contained unit simply plugs into the gauge’s processor board, providing local display of
information necessary for setup and calibration of the MCG series “Super Smart” transmitters. There is no
need to run between the control room and the field.
MCG 2150 Infrared “Hand-Held” Calibrator
With the MCG 2150 Hand held Calibrator, setup, programming, and calibration become a matter of “remote
control.” When used with any of the MCG Series “Super Smart”/“Smart Flash Infrared (SFI)” gauges (with
Infrared Pickup), this compact intrinsically safe wireless unit allows the operator to access, view, and change
programming data without ever removing the explosion proof housing. It is simply a matter of standing within
ten (10) feet of the readout and pressing the entry keypad. This battery powered unit requires no physical
coupling to the gauge. In addition, the MCG 2150 Hand held Calibrator is UL and ATEX/CENELEC approved
for intrinsically safe operation.
