Engineered To Perform
Application Versatility
The servo housing is divided into two sections, the drum
chamber and the electronics chamber. While only
stainless steel parts are utilized inside the drum (which
is open to product), the servo housing is available in
cast aluminum or stainless steel. The drum chamber is
isolated from the electronics chamber by a magnetic
coupling. The electronic chamber is gas-tight, explosion
proof, and isolates the electrical components from the
product environment and the atmosphere.
The MCG 1500SFI typically communicates the standard
L&J “Tankway” 4-wire data highway. Yet simple plug-in
modules can be utilized to provide for emulation of most
existing, as well as custom field protocols or analog
outputs.
Simplicity of Design = Ease of Serviceability
With only 3 moving parts (drum assembly, gear assembly,
and stepper motor) and only two PC boards (the CPU
and the strain gauge amplifier), L&J has minimized parts
to maximize reliability. The modular assembly permits
the stocking of just a few components. This all means
that there are less moving parts to wear out and replace,
and the parts which may need service or repair are modular
and interchangeable so less need to be stocked.
L&J maintains a stock of spare parts as well as a full
service staff which, together, guarantee quick turn-around
on any part that is sent in for repair. On-site repairs can
be made on servo units with spare parts being supplied
by L&J.
As you can see, the design features which have been
engineered by L&J provide for application versatility
and ease of service...both of which prove that the
MCG 1500SFI is Engineered to Perform.
